| Level 3: Bars You now have the option to replace the Forward Stride Circle with: *2 Casts value .4 each - Emphasis will be placed on proper technique with no minimum cast requirement. - Shoulders slightly in front of the bar, swing the legs backward-upward. Push down against the bar, extending through the shoulders, to lift the body off the bar to execute a cast, with legs together. Maintain a straight-hollow body position with the buttocks tight, the arms and legs straight, and the head neutral. The casts would be done after the Back Hip Circle - The casts would be skill number 4 The routine would then proceed to the Single Leg Cut - The Single Leg Cut would be skill number 5 The routine would then proceed to the Half Turn - The Half Turn would be skill number 6 The routine would then proceed as stated in the JO Compulsory Book through the dismount. *This is optional and you may choose to continue to use the Forward Stride Circle. Level 4: Bars You now have the option to replace the Forward Stride Circle with: *A Cast value .6 each - Emphasis will be place on proper technique with minimum cast requirement. - Minimum Cast requirement: 20° Below Horizontal The casts would be before the Back Hip circle. - The cast would be the second part of skill number 6 The routine would then proceed to the Back Hip Circle through the Dismount. *This is optional and you may continue to use the Forward Stride Circle. Spotting Clarifications: Level 3: If a coach spots a gymnast, the deduction is .5 for the spot, the judge will determine if the coach assisted the element. Depending on the amount of aid by the coach the gymnast can receive up to the value of the element. Level 4: If a coach spots a gymnast, the deduction is .5 for the spot and can receive no more than Half the value of the element depending on how much assistance was given. Level 5-All Optional Levels: If a coach spots a gymnast the deduction is: .5 for the spot and no value for the skill. Compulsory gymnasts would be deducted the value of the skill. Optional gymnasts would receive no value part credit for the skill. Coaches are allowed on the floor with no deduction at all compulsory levels. Coaches on the floor at Optional levels will receive 1.00 deduction. |
